Introducing Our Team of Directors
The Directors & Trustees of Community Activation Ltd; named below, work on a voluntary basis helping the society to achieve it’s aims and objectives of bringing benefit to the community through their partners in the leisure and recreational sectors. The board will shortly be increased by a further member in the near future.
Peter has spent 36 years in public service, both in London Boroughs and District Councils. In his various roles, Peter gained a wide experience dealing with municipal issues covering political and local government administration especially as Technical Services manager of an East Midland Borough Council. His past experience also covers Parks and Recreation, Sports Development, and Event Management. Peter has a practical interest in American traditional music and runs a classic MG.
Philip is a businessman who has been involved in the retail sector and latterly was the owner of his own butchery business. He brings a wealth of experience dealing with members of the public. Philip enjoys gardening and is a very keen golfer. He has helped and supported a number of charities in various fundraising capacities – especially Tims Charity.
Bill commenced his career within the R&D department of a large automotive company after graduating, working on the development and application of polymers in automotive applications. During his career, he joined various companies before moving to a large multinational Italian company Polimeri Europa part of the ENI group, where he was engaged as European Marketing Manager in Engineering Polymers until 2004. He has subsequently held a number of positions within community societies as a trustee on a voluntary basis all within the sport, recreational, and leisure sectors.
Steven having finished full-time education joined Leslie Hartridge Ltd on an engineering apprenticeship where he gained his OND in Mechanical Engineering and worked as a project manager. He then left them to join Conveyor Lines Ltd and Conveyor Accessory Supplies Ltd and, having acquired a shareholding in both companies, he subsequently became Managing Director of both operations
His career then moved to the building and construction sector engaged in the building and commissioning of new residential homes. During this period he was then approached by one of the large UK care home providers to become their UK Project Manager, responsible for overseeing the build and development of all the company’s existing Care Home sites and is fulfilling this role at the present time
His outside interests are Classic Cars and Field Sports.
